I've finished writing out the synapsis to "The Yellow Brick Road", aka the sequel to "Still Not in Kansas", aka my Babylon 5/ST Voyager crossover. Phew!

This promises to be a real monster again. The first part of the trilogy (Kansas) was 21 chapters long. The freshly planned-out second part grew as huge as 54 chapters (!), unless it spawns a few more in the process, which is known to happen. Currently, 8 parts are written and posted. The third part is tentatively titled "The Magic Shoes" (yes, I know, gratutious "Wizard of Oz" references, they're meant to be), and I don't even dare to guess how long that will end up to be; although I intend to make it shorter. The shortest part of all, in fact. But we all know how my muses work.

In other news, school re-starts tomorrow. I already dread whatever is waiting for us.

Part 82 - An Unexpected Delivery has been posted to FF.Net and to the 13th_sherlock DW comm.

In which the girls are cooking and the Daleks make an appearance... sort of...
Enjoy!

(Yes, I know I'm a day late with the update alert, sorry!)

Good grief, I really wasn't here for almost 5 days? Where has the time gone? So much about being more consequent with my journal. Ah, well.

It was a busy week. I had to take mum to the optician (sp? - I mean the eye doctor), and since I was already there, I got my eyes checked as well. Apparently, they are all right fo an old hag of my age, which is a relief. I spend entirely too much time before the telly and the computer screen. And reading and writing. Even stitching at times.

Well, the telly problem is solved for a time - my satellite receiver died, and since it's linked with the DVD player somehow, I can't watch DVDs, either. Tried to switch the plugs and stuff, but I'm technically chalenged. Friendly Guy from the repair shop promised to come... eventually. We'll see.

So I put the time to good use and wrote down the synapsis to my TNG stories I plan to write. Also, since I German TV is re-running Babylon 5, I felt inspired to pick up "Kansasn 2" again, the B5-Voyage x-over that has been lying on ice for the last five years or so. No writing actually done yet, but a great deal of research, which is fun.

Among other things, I re-read all 16 chapters of "A Minbari Courtship", which is an excellent story.

Perhaps tomorrow I'll write a little, too.

School starts on Monday again, although without kids for a week. Sigh. I don't feel up to the challenge at all. Getting old and stuff.

I've started posting the 2nd Interlude today: the one focusing on Molly Hooper and with the strong Classic!Who background. There will be many Torchwood-related hints, and Ianto will get the chance to shine again.

Part 81 - Sherlock Thwarts the Dinner Plans has been posted to FF.Net and to the 13th_sherlock DW comm.

I guess, with that title, you don't need a chapter summary. ;))

Enjoy!

Part 75 - Serpent's Venom has been posted to FF.Net and to the 13th_sherlock DW Comm.

Enjoy!
wiseheart: (sherlock_tardis)
Part 74 - In the Serpent's Lair has been posted to FF.Net and to the 13th_sherlock DW comm.

Enjoy!
wiseheart: (sherlock_tardis)
Part 71 - The Curious End of Julia Morstan has been posted to FF.Net and to the 13th_sherlock DW comm.

wiseheart: (sherlock_tardis)
Part 70 - Reunion has been posted to FF.Net and to the 13th_sherlock DW comm.

I've made some unexpected progress with the Outtakes series - for those who don't follow the various installments of "Beautiful Minds", it's a series of loosely connected AU-vignettes to Sherlock's season 3, set in the Iceman!verse, in which Tosh features instead of Mary Morstan.

Inspiration just hit like a brick wall last week, and now I'm seven pages into Outtakes 03, which is a somewhat eclectic mix of "His Last Vow", the original ACD story "Charles Augustus Milverton" and what my twisted mind comes up with. Since I hate what the Moftiss did in Series 3, especially concerning character development, I find great, evil delight in righting all the wrongs for myself. *g*

Also, the second Interlude to "Adventures" goes on steadily. Writing Wholock is fun, and I never thought I'd enjoy writing Molly Hooper, but I actually do. Well; my version of her. I've just spent an entire chapter on describing her flat, which was an interesting exercise. It's based on the actual, rather odd flat of a male friend, but full of what I consider Molly-ish things. A bit contradictional, but fun nonetheless. As this story features a version of Mary Morstan based on the lead character of "The Mistress of Spices", it's even funnier to write.

Speaking of which, I just realise that I've come up with three rather different versions of Mary, even if I don't count the part in which she's replaced by Tosh. John Watson should be thankful for the variety of wives I've given him. At least none of them is a murderer who almost killed his best friends. EVen though two of them *are* 'played' by Amanda.

Part 69 - Mary & Mary has been posted to FF.Net and to the 13th_sherlock DW comm.

In which the android from outer space enters the action in earnest, perception filters do their job nicely, Mickey Smith gets to drive a fancy car and Mycroft Holmes is smugly satisfied.

Enjoy!

Success!!!

In case no-one has noticed in he previous post, which, sadly, seems to be the case, I've just finished the current story arc of "Adventures" with the 20th chapter, so the weekly updates are secured till the bitter end. Even if I'll need a little rest before I attack the Whoniverse version of "The Big Game".

However, I've more or less planned out the second Interlude, which is going to be a (relatively) short detour into the world of Classic!Who, focused on Molly Hooper. I also developed the whole series'concept in more detail and now I have a clearer picture about how it's going to end.

There are a few important factors about which I still couldn't make up my mind - Mary's fate, for starters - but all in all, it's getting a recognizable shape, which is good.

Speaking of Dr Who, I've just watched the 50th anniversary special a few days ago, and had some great, evil fun with a small detail. When I started "Adventures", a nitpicking know-it-all condescendingly pointed out my so-called common mistake, i.e. that the last regeneration of the Doctor should be 14, not 13, cause he can regenerate 13 times, plus his first life, also 14 lives all in all. Now, adding the forgotten regeneration without a number, Moftiss have canonized my version. Hah!

Part 68 - Contingency Plans has been posted to FF.Net and to the 13th_sherlock DW comm.

In which Mycroft/The Watcher loses his calm, big time, Ianto has to sit out the bout of Gallifreyan fury, John is kidnapped (again) and A.N.T.H.E.A has a risky idea involving a perception filter. Yep, we're steering closer to Torchwood again, and will do so for the rest of this story arc.

Also, I've just finished the arc with the 20th chapter today, so the weekly updates are secured till the bitter end. Even if I'll need a little rest before I attack the Whoniverse version of "The Big Game".
