Do you have any fandoms you disliked first but fanfic made you love it afterwards? Mine are behind the tag. Tell me about yours!

- Space: Above and Beyond

I absolutely hated it first. I thought it was a really bad mix of Top Gun and Battlestar Galactica (the original one; for me the only one that exists). But after having come across some exceptional pieces of fanfic, I've changed my mind. Of course, there has always been the hotness that's Colonel McQueen, but that alone wouldn't have converted me.

- Stargate: Atlantis

I still hate Sheppard and Weir with the intensity of a thousand burning suns. But I've discovered fanfic focused on minor characters, and ended up writing the same thing.

- Criminal Minds

At first, I found it boring. Then I read Reid-centered stories, and now I can't wait for the reruns. I think I definitely need a life.

My knee still hurts like a bitch. Of course, without resting it properly, what can I expect???

Your mother's test results are really weird! But as long as she feels fine...

As to your knee needing rest, sadly it's a couple of weeks yet till the easter holidays. Not good. :-(

>>Don't you get US-series, or do you just detest sci-fi and crime series?<<

Well, I don't even watch TV these days (havent for 2 years or so) and never was much into US-series, although on second thought, Criminal Minds does ring a bell. Is that the one with William Petersen? I've watched a couple of those.

What I did love to watch was rather different, stuff like Black Adder, Yes Minister... not really fanfic material. ;-)

No, the one with William Petersen is CSI.

And I must admit I've never heard of Black Adder or the other thing...

BTW, Lissa, would you consider putting up more of your stuff to [livejournal.com profile] edhellondawards? You seem to be the only one from the group who's still writing Tolkienfic at the moment - it will be nice to see some more traffic there.

Darn! I can never get those series right!

About Edhellondawards, sure thing: Just tell me which ones you think I should post there and I'll put them up. (The Haldir-stories obviously aren't ready yet.)

Whichever you find fit for publication. I take anything I can get. ;)

Glad to hear your knee is at least able to improve, if you are given the chance to rest it. And glad to hear Mum is well, even if she has puzzled the doctors. (It's good for them to be challenged once in a while...)[hugs]
