My belated birthday party was a very nice affair, even though four of the ten guests couldn't come, for completely understandable reasons. So we were seven like the wicked, as we say over here, and a good time was had by everyone. My cakes and other food items were a success and we gossiped and laughed a lot. It was lovely.

Tomorrow there will be the monthly house cleaning frenzy... a necessary evil. At least we have help with these larger actions. Housework is only fun as long as you're causing the dirt, not when you have to clean it up.

Originally, we were supposed to be 11 people all together, but due to the fact that the party had to be postponed some couldn't come. Another one got sick in the last minute, and the fourth one got her grandkids dropped onto her lap literally one hour before we'd start.

Not that 11 would have made cutting up the cake equally any easier. ;)

Happy Birthday, again! Glad your party was a success.

The only house cleaning I care for is washing dishes, mopping, and hanging out clothes. The picking up, sweeping, vacuuming, and all the rest are what makes it such a chore, and the fact that it is never ending.

I hate cleaning - it is so pointless, as soon as you finish you can start anew. The results never last. *sigh*
