Hi folks! *waves*

Time is flying by, isn't it? It's that time of a year again - I'm getting older. In this case, I'm turning 55 on October 9, which used to be an important thing, back under the old regime. Women could retire at the age of 55 back then. So I've decided to ignore all that fantastic headway we've supposedly made towards democracy in the last two decades and enter my virtual retirement, blithley overlooking the fact that I'll have to work another 7 or 8 or only God knows how many years.

So, let's party! Last years virtual birthday party yielded 742 comments on 6 pages, which won't be easy to top, but we're good, aren't we? WE CAN DO IT! So, let's give it a try! In the recent years, it has always been great fun, so let's have fun again!

You're all cordially invited to help yourself to a slice of virtual Dobos Cake recipe - it's my absolute favourite, although I never managed to get it as good as my Garnny used to.

Cheers!

Note: The party will be closed on October 9, at midnight, sharp. Join us and have fun!

I wrote a story about Soolin's sister being a mutoid and how they reversed the process, but B7 does leave a lot of stuff out.

Link please? Also: who's Soolin? I'm still about to start Series 2.

Soolin (see icon) is in season 4 and the story, put of a set of 5 (4 written so far) is set after the series so I'll let you know when you've seen it all. :-) I don't know if you've seen any spoilers but I don't want to be the one to do so.

If you're interested though, I have almost all my B7 stories on my Breaking Orbit (http://www.farsight.net.nz/fiction/index.htm) site, sorted by season so you can read the ones for S1. The Humour ones are sorted too and I'd say you can read up to Rebels and Rats there, and the first season of Vila's Emails. :-)

Actually, not Rebels and Rats; it has Orac in it and is set in S2 as is Cold Comfort. For the humour, up to Pets is OK; it's set between S1 and S2.

The pre-series ones are fine too and the Vila background three are all S1.

You forget that I've already red Pets after July!Pico. :)

I read a few of the Vila background fics, they're very nicely and convincingly written. My favourite is the one where he first met Gan.

Thank you! That was the first real story I wrote after Vila's Emails. :-)

I liked the Gan backstory, too. Is that canon or your invention? I find it matches his nature very well.

It's based on canon but I fleshed it out. :-) All we know is that he got a limiter because he killed a trooper or guard who killed "his woman".

I see. Thanks for the detail. I can understand the actors well enough, but not always everything, and as the DVDs only have Dutch subtitles, they aren't really such a great help. ;)

I just updated my site to make it clearer which stories are in which seasons. It's all up-to-date now at last! I only just managed to get my old web update software working on this new computer. :-)

I think it's very clear and easy to navigate. I wish I could create a website for me, but my web skills are practically nonexistent, and I'm notoriously bad at understanding written instructions. (Especially if they expect from me some basic knowledge that I don't have.) Since my old website went the way of all Geocities sites, I can only update on LJ.

You can create a new free website using Google Sites (https://sites.google.com/?hl=en&tab=w3&pli=1). Have a look and see what you think. I created mine from scratch but this is a really good option and very easy to use.

Thanks, I'll give it a try.
