Updates: Halabor + reading rec page

Aside from my first Criminal Minds slash rec - yep, as all homophobes who keep attack me on FF.Net can tell you, I happen to like slash - I've added a very interesting essay about Chakotay's origins by Spiletta 42, two Lord of the Rings fics and my Secret Sancta prezzie written forkavtolanon's annual gift-swapping.
I've only recently branched out to Criminal Minds fanfic (reading only, don't worry!), and happened to find this excellent, multichapter action/adventure domance, with lots of great characterization and excellent tie-ins with the actual episodes. I'm really pleased. Actually, as much as I was indifferent to Criminal Minds, the show has been growing on me since Gideon left. *g*
I absolutely love my Secret Sancta prezzie, too. The so-far unknown author has managed to give me Mpreg, Kavanagh getting the boy from before Sheppard's nose and Kav/Halling friendship... in short, everything I've asked for. Given my insane prompts and the fact how queasy most people react to mpreg, I didn't think anyone would have the guts and the talent to put all this into one story. I'm happy to tell you that I was mistaken.
The Chakotay essay is also excellent, addressing all the idiotic discrepancies of Chakotay's background the PTB and sloppy sceenwriters messed up during the series and offering other possibilities. It's a great help with my upcoming story, "Alternate Resolutions" - the one because of which I'll have to harass![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)

The Lotr fics are short but sweet ones, that hopefully will be fun to read. So, have fun, folks!
