My second little angel is finished. I'm still not entirely happy with the face, but at least I know now why: I shouldn't have drawn slanted eyes (which I did in both cases). So I'll just have to make a third one to get it right. ;))

Today I also wrote my preliminary baking list for Christmas; I'll post it as a pinned entry later. Right now, I'm at 30 different biscuits. That might change later; perhaps I'll leave something out, replace something or add more... we'll see. Yes, I am insane; I think we've already established that fact.

Other than that, we had laundry day, I made pulled turkey for lunch, wrote a bit, and that was basically it. I tried to make the most of a day when I didn't have to leave the house but it still doesn't sound too much. *sigh*

Okay, folks, let's the madness begin! As I said, this is just a preliminary plan; things might change as I go on, but we'll see.

1. Cashew-coconut balls (an old favourite)
2. Ginger meringues (to use up all those remaining egg whites)
3. Coffee-cocoa biscuits (new)
4. Macadamia biscuits
5. Nougat-cinnamon balls (new)
6. Toffee-Brazil nut cookies (new)
7. Maple-Pecan nut cookies (another old favourite)
8. Chocolate pretzels with pistachios (an absolute highlight)
9. Pecan-marshmallow cookies
10. Aniseed shortbread with pine nuts
11. Almond-poppy stars (filled with apricot jam)
12. Ma'amuls (date biscuits from Iran - new)
13. Baci di Dama (Italian almond biscuits with chocolate filling)
14. Vanillekipferln (a classic for Mum because she loves them; we both do)
15. Chocolate-almond biscuits (with red currant jam filling)
16. Chestnut swirls
17. Hazelnut stars (with meringue topping)
18. Chocolate-peanut cookies
19. Mozartkrapferln? (filled walnut biscuits)
I'm a bit unsure about this one because it has butter cream filling and thus won't last long; perhaps I'll exchange it for something else.
20. Orangenbusserln (an absolutely fabulous one)
21. Hazelnut cookies
22. Marzipan pretzels (another old hit I make every year)
23. Oatcakes with dates
24. Italian pistachio cookies
25. Orange biscuits (filled with lemon jelly or orange marmalade - new)
26. Filled ginger biscuits (like above, I haven't decided yet which filling goes into which biscuits - also new!)

30. Soft Amaretti cookies
31. Chocolate-almond stars (another old favourite)
