Mad Friday
Apr. 23rd, 2021 10:48 pmToday's bullet list:
* I made cheesy buns. In case someone still doesn't know, they are the guys in the middle of the picture (I didn't take a new photo since they look exactly like this):

* I also made strawberry jam. The strawberries I bought on the market yesterday didn't live up to our expectations, so I put them to other use.
* I rasped apples, bananas, some strawberries and added some leftover pink grapefruit segments (the inner skin removed) to the mix, as well as yogurt and muesli. Now we'll have our vitamin bomb for breakfast for the next three days.
* I fried fish and boiled potatoes for lunch.
* I washed up several times
The nice parts of the day:
(although baking is nice...)
- The janitor finally showed up with his handyman and they judged our book cabinet safe. Apparently, it the hangings are still stable (the handyman put his entire weight on them and they didn't give in); it's probably the wood itself that has changed in the decades in-between, so that it doesn't lie snugly on the wall, but we don't have reason to worry. I hope they are right.
- I talked to four (ex-)colleagues on the phone, which was very nice. I miss my girls terribly.
- I also talked to IT guy (my neighbour), who promised to help me renew the licence of my antivirus programme before it runs out in a week or so. Phew! That's a relief. I'm not technically savvy and always need help with such things.
