It's a girl!
Jan. 30th, 2020 06:17 pmSo, Mum turned 88 today, and we had great fun celebrating that fact - just the two of us.
This is her birthday cake, with the candles still unlit:

And this is the same cake, with the candles lit:

We also shared a bottle of cider (all 300 mls of it), and she'll get her prezzie on Saturday, when I take her to the charity ball. She knows many of my colleagues, who like her a lot, so she'll have enough people to chat with her, there'll be food and champagne, and tomorrow we'll go to the hairdresser's to have her made beautiful.
Other than that I had choir practice with the Oldies in the morning and made more felt eggs. No writing happened, and I didn't work on the doll house quiet book, either.
Current egg count: 20/40. Go me!
