We had the big cleaning frenzy today, and I even managed to repair the toilet lid - for the time being anyway. We'll see how well the super glue will hold out. That's the problem with plastic things: they break so easily under pressure. I think the weight of our chiropodist lady leaning against it was too much for the poor lid. *g*

Anyway, we opted not to cook after having put everything back to their place. We had leftover soup, sandwiches and the rest of the raspberries. Then I finished untangling the infamous embroidery thread and made three felt poinsettia flowers while watching crap telly with one eye. In the end, there'll be likely only 6 flowers (and I'm being optimistic here), since I realized I'd need 6 small and 6 larger petals for each, as well as 6 leaves, and I simply don't have enough felt rests to make more. Not that I mind. Only 3 days left till the fair, so I'll be happy if I manage to make those six flowers.

That was basically our day. I'm tired, but happy to be over with the cleaning. There'll be peace from that slave labour for the next two weeks. Hopefully.

Leftovers are a life-saver on days like this. I actually try to cook enough for several days whenever I can, but yesterday's Gummipute was barely enough for one meal... not that we'd have wanted it a second time!

I would not mind to live on sandwiches more often!

Neither would I. But Mum really needs a more balanced diet.

It was a hard battle — although I think I'll have to wrap the whole thing anew or else it would become hopelessly tangled again. *sigh*

Those poinsettia sound pretty. Are you making brooches out of them?

No, they are too big for that. They'll serve as Christmas tree decoration, laid directly on the branches, I think.

Leftovers are so good to have on busy days. I'm a huge fan of leftovers. :)

Me, too. We usually cook at least for two days.
