Avent, Day 4

wiseheartI started with going to Lidl in the morning because they had raspberries on sale (still outrageously expensive, but considerably cheaper than usual, so Mum and I decided to splurge ourselves for a change), plus I needed to replenish my stock in mineral water and ginger ale (very important for my peace of mind!). I ended up buying some meat and cold cuts as well as some cane sugar (of which I was running off, and I need it for the continued baking) - needless to say that the bill looked rather... shocking. But Mum gave her okay to everything, so all is well.
After that, I've decorated the rest of the cookies from yesterday, took down the laundry (fortunately, everything had dried during the night), cooked Gummipute (=turkey nuggets) for lunch, cut out the parts for 7 felt poinsettia flowers that I intend to sew until Thursday... somehow..., talked to H. on the phone - and then collapsed in front of my laptop, in serious need for some solitaire.
In the meantime Mum rearranged the kitchen and the living room, putting everything on the highest possible surface, since tomorrow will be the pre-scheduled cleaning frenzy... for the first time in a month, since last time our cleaning lady got ill and had to cancel. I'm dreading it in advance. *sigh* I'll still have to do the same rearranging of my bedroom and the study, the latter of which will be particularly challenging, since the stuff prepared for the Christmas fair practically occupies every square inch. But I'll manage... somehow... I always do, after all.
There should be some witty last sentence to round up this entry, but I'm too brain dead at the moment to think of one.
