I got up early today because my friend Evie and I planned to go to the crafts depot. So I made the first food run (to Lidl) right before 9am. To my pleasant surprise, they've dished out a great variety of baking supplies, with an eye of the upcoming Christmas baking - even candied cherries! Needless to say that I stocked up properly of them, as well as of other candied fruit and chopped hazelnuts and whatnot.
Then Evie arrived and we went to the craft depot. I bought 3 motif punches, some wooden beads, felt parts, colouring crayons, wooden balls in case I wanted to give these little darlings a try (since I've got some leftover fabric and yarn from previous projects) - and at the end I paid about as much as I would for one large motif punch in a craft shop!
Unfortunately, they didn't have the large scalloped punch I really, really wanted but didn't buy last time in the craft shop because it was so ridiculously expensive. I might have go back there, after all, although by my luck they'll be out of it already. Ah, well, there are worse things than cutting out scalloped circles by hand, right?
Afterwards we went to Aldi and I stocked up on mineral water and other heavy items, since I didn't have to lug them home myself. I then gifted some crafting tools on Evie, since I had some duplicates, thanks to well-meaning people who find it embarrassing to ask what one would actually need. She was very happy with the things and I was very happy to have made some free space in my craft cupboard. *g*
Of course, I had to rearrange that part of the craft cupboard - as well as the shelves that serve as our pantry. But at least now I have a better oversight where the things really are... save for a few packages of beads that I still haven't rediscovered. Still, it is good that we had leftovers today; cooking definitely wouldn't have fit into the daily programme. ;)
