The last cards for the time being

A bit retro and not really original - I'm clearly running out of inspiration, so this is the best time to stop, I think.



I'll update this post later, when I've negotiated the facts of life with the insurance lady whose call I'm awaiting. See you later, folks!

Update: All right, the new contract has been made - it "only" took me an hour and 35 minutes. On the phone. Circulation still hasn't returned to my ear, but at least everything is solved now, which is a relief. But I can't even touch the phone afterwards, although I planned to call some colleagues. I think I've developed a mild case of phone-phobia. *sigh*

Anyway, I also did something for the further development of my tennis arm - in other words, we had asparagus for lunch, with Sauce Bechamel. Yum! The rest of the day I spent glassy-eyed in front of the telly. My brain is still unable to do anything else than keep the vegetative functions running.

I prefer talking on the phone to texting or e-mails because at least that way I can hear the person's voice I'm talking to. In this particular case though...

An hour and a half on the phone over insurance! That's awful. No wonder your poor ear has gone numb.

I know it is ridiculous, but I hasn't been able to make a single phone call ever since, although talking to my colleagues is my lifeline. I think I've been traumatised for life...

Usually I can't wait to talk to my girls. But in the last two days I started shivering when I as much as looked at the phone! And tomorrow I have to meat the woman to sign the new contract!
