Thursday baking
Mar. 12th, 2020 10:31 pmThis is my amazing apple-frangipane tart:

The recipe is from Mary Berry, I only replaced the flaked almonds with caramelized almond shards. Let's hope it's as yummy as it looks, as I might have some guests tomorrow.
This is the original recipe, by the way.
The rest of the day was fairly exhausting, too. First I had choir practice with the Oldies - presumably the last one for a while, due to the coronavirus threat - then I had to do some grocery shopping. Then I typed up the last pages of Chapter 10 of "The Sins of the Mothers". Then this horribly verbose and long-winded insurance agent came and ruined half my afternoon. Then I did my baking, and now I'm going to watch the new episodes of "Forged in Fire". I think I've deserved it. *g*
