Some good news for a change

wiseheartMum and I went to the eye doctor today - she for her usual sixt-month-control and I because I haven't had my eyes looked at since November 2016. Yes, I know it's irresponsible, but my working schedule barely allowed me to get Mum to her control. Mine never fit in.
Anyway, the good news is that there is no deteriorating of our eyes, by either of us. Poor Mum has lived in fear that she might not be able to avoid eye surgery because of her cataracts (is that the word?) but the lady doctor (an old acquaintance of mine) said that if she gets on with what eyesight she has, they don't have to do it. So we won't.
So, the day after tomorrow is a double appointment: for Mum to have her bi-annual osteoporosis control and for me the dermatologist to take a look at the bumps on my face. I'm fairly sure that they are a result of my skin reacting badly to harsh sunlight, as they only appear on the right side, where I got the sun both by going to work and getting back from work, and nowhere else on my body, but better safe than sorry.
And then we'll start our long and repetitive pilgrimage to the dentist's...
