Back - and still alive!
Jun. 5th, 2019 07:13 pmThe trip to Vienna was as pleasant as it could be with 13 mostly sullen teenagers, who had a hard time to bring up interest for anything else than their phones and the local McDonald's. At least we, adults, had a relatively good time, with lovely weathers and all that.
The thing that managed to impress the kids at least a tiny bit was the "Ankeruhr" clock. We saw this (not my recording, found on YouTube but reasonably good job):
I had little time for myself and made therefore only 3 photos, one of which is the plaque to above mentioned "Ankeruhr" clock, where one can see who the historical figures dancing around actually are:

The other two are from the "Steffl Kirtag", some sort of summer festival around St Stephan's Cathedral. Almost the same as during the Christmas fair, only the stuff they sell is a lot less Christmass-y, and there was also a merry-go-round or two. But the most amazing stall was the one where they sold cheeses - I never saw cheeses of such size and colours!

All in all, it was a good trip, although exhausting like whoa. I've recovered a bit by now, so it's time to make an orange marmalade-filled Hefezopf. *g*
