It is hot. Mum and I realized that she should have gone to the early mess by this weather - of course, we would have to get up at 6 o'clock for that, and since we are owl-natured, both of us, early rising isn't really our thing.

In any case, I parked her in the church and went to do the rest of the shopping (everything I couldn't drag home yesterday). Then I collected her and we went to Savoya Park - it is a small shopping center only two tram stops from us. There we did the absolute rest of the shopping in the Auchan supermarket and had lunch in one of the self-serving restaurants. We usually do that on Sundays so spare ourselves the cooking in the highest hours of the day... and the washing up afterwards, of course.

I did a little bit of writing for the new Dwarf story, but it doesn't really go anywhere. I lose myself too much in descriptions and unnecessary details. I love that sort of stuff, but I'm afraid most of the readers don't. A shame, really. Ah, well, it's too hot to type up anyway and perhaps doing so tomorrow will bring some much-needed inspiration.

I gave the snowflake pop-up card a try and it turned out decent enough although not entirely what I wanted it to become. It's still pretty, though, I'll post some pics tomorrow.

And finally, the lid of the as-yet unfinished shaker card with the not-working shaker thingie:

The papers are absolutely gorgeous, so I don't really mind the not-shaking lid. I can't finish the box until I've got my hands on a right-sized pine cone and I need to make some tags for it, too. Next week, perhaps. Until then, enjoy the view.

Oh yes, it is. It belongs to a collection called "The Colours of India", from the German firm Folia and very hard to get here. I had luck that they were available for a short time - outrageously expensive, of course, but I couldn't resist. And then I found another batch in Krems when we were on vacation in Austria earlier in July.
