Back to school

... and not particularly happy about it. It's good to see the kids again, but the school yard is still icy cold and the colleagues still love to leave all windows and doors open, so it's only a matter of time when I get ill again. *sigh*

My iPad is still at my neighbour. I think I'll phone him tomorrow to ask if he can do anything about it at all. I miss the little gizmo more than I thought I would. Quick and easy access to one's mail and to the Internet is something you can get used to and miss terribly when it isn't available. *double sigh*

OTOH, I made a bit of headway with "The Immunity Syndrome", my canon TNG story, so the day wasn't entirely wasted. One has to count one's small blessings.

Dress warmly and I'll hope for the best regarding not getting sick again in the cold school :(

I'm wearing so many layers at work it's ridiculous. To think of it, I'm wearing a ridiculous amount of layers at home, too. Ever since that day without heating, the poor flat has been struggling to warm up properly but so far hasn't managed to. I guess the fact that the building isn't properly isolated doesn't help. Concrete tends to take on the outside temperature without excessive heating.

Yeah, I feel you so hard on this. With some buildings it's incredibly hard to get them to warm up, or keep warm for that matter. It's such a pain and then the heating bills on top of that...

I would miss my ipad so much too; hope the problem is quickly resolved. I rarely turn my laptop on, relying on my ipad for most things.

No news about the iPad yet - I feel really abandoned. Most of the time I use my big desktop PC, but when I want to look up something really quickly the iPad is invaluable; more so as I don't have a smartphone.
