It must be from too much fanficcing that I see Mary Sues alll over the planet, but two of the only three female characters (the Empress and the Magician girl) had definite straits of a Sue.
The movie felt a bit like fanfic in its entirety to me.
And it didn't really capture me. I was able to leave the room, cook, write emails, etc...., and I didn't feel as if I had missed something. But it was a nice pastime ;-)
