Headdesk moments

wiseheartI have them every time when a certain author on SoA updates any of their stories. In every single summary of every single story it is empathically told that it is "of course" not slash, "as always".
Now, I understand if someone doesn't like slash. It's a matter of personal taste. I even understand if someone sees it as their personal crusade to fight slash on the principle. It is a matter of personal intolerance.
What I don't understand is why somebody needs to underline that their story isn't slash in an archive that doesn't even allow slash to begin with. That is beyond stupid, IMNSHO.
I could never get myself to read this person's stories. Perhaps they are the best thing after sliced bread (although I doubt it - self-righteous people are rarely creative). But this level of stubborn narrow-mindedness irritates me so much that I might lower myself to making fun of the author in a less than charitable manner, and I don't want to do that.
