Yeah, I particularly hate the "Beorn is the last of his kind" innovation. Hello? It's expressly stated in LotR - the Books, not the shitty films, of course - that his people keep open the High Pass, demand a high toll, bake fantastic honeybread and Beorn's son Grimbeorn is their chieftain.
But, of course, such insignificant things would never hamper Peter Jackson in his so-called creativity.
After the first film, despite the totally unnecessary Azog addition, I thought that I might actually like this trilogy. Now I've been taught better.
