I wish I could figure out how to keep people I personally like but whose entries sometimes make me uncomfortable (for reasons not their fault but for my ridiculous personal sensitivities) not to appear on my Friends page, without unfriending them. I don't want to do that. They are nice people, and I would like to keep them as friends. But avoiding my own Friends page and checking whether other people/comms etc. have updated via my Profile is really a bother... *sighs*

Date: 2012-01-13 08:00 pm (UTC)Go to manage friends, then custom friends groups. From there you can create a group with the people you want to see entries from in. (Click new, then it will appear in the list above and you can add people to it.Then on you friends page, (in the bar at the top), click filter and select that group.
There are probably other ways. Hope this helps. :)

Gah, it doesn't seem to last! Or do I have to check the box every time before I would read my Friends page?

Date: 2012-01-14 01:53 am (UTC)I would say 'yes'. Another option is to add '/#name-of-group#' at the end of the webaddress when you go to your friends page, i.e. in the browser address bar type 'http://wiseheart.livejournal.com/friends/#name-of-group#'. That is how I always access my friends page, because some of the communities I am a member of has too high a post volume for me to spot posts from my friends in among them. Hope that was of some help!
