I always found the name very mysterious, but didn't find the right story in which to put it. Not much keeps going, though. In my imagination, it's just a half-ruined relic now.
Too bad Náli canonically died in Moria. A Dwarven innkeeper would be a compeltely new thing in Middle-earth.
