I'm just tired of things that go wrong all the time.

Like the rather insignificant fact that my new Norton now tells me every time I switch on my browser that it controls websites that might be cheating... whatever it means. It takes away half an inch from my useful sceen space, and as a result, I can't see the entire Mahjongg board anymore.

I hope it can be hidden or switched off somehow, but I'll have to wait for new computer expert guy to show up, because I'm a total failure when it comes to technology.

Or that my damned new digital satellite receiver still doesn't work. Three times the maintenance guys have been here, and they will come at least another three times, I fear.

The thing has cost me an ungodly amount of money that I could have used for a number of other (equally necessary) purposes. I wouldn't say a word if it worked. Only it does not. Plus, the whole disaster has already cost me one of my rare free afternoons, when I wanted to do a number of things I don't have the time to do on other days.

I really don't want such big things from life. But when not even the small things are willing to cooperate, it's really depressing.

I started at Geocities as well, but in hindsight building online is a lot trickier than creating pages offline and then uploading them. Trial and error is easier to deal with like that.

See if you can get the program to work, and if anything makes any sense for you, and maybe we can have a stab at curing you of your techno-wheenie-ness. ;)

Oh, I did create the pages offline - with FrontPage Express, in fact - and uploaded them to the site afterwards. The advantage of a Geocities site is that once the basics are built (by someone who knows how) even an idiot like me can add more pages.

The problem is that 15 MBs really aren't that much, which is why I wanted the new sites. Plus, I'm still unable to do anything else but add text. Not even pictures did I manage.
