Dear God, it can't be true! Ff.net is gone again!
Let's hope it's just a temporary problem, but it's getting annoying, really. One would think that after they separated the original fic section it would work better, but no........

Or maybe one of the Mirkwood Castle members is right and Thranduil is secretly hacking around to take revenge for all those insulting badfics that portray him as a child-abusing, drunk madman.

His Majesty should consider that he's punishing his own fans, as well.

I think most people are trying to figure out what's up with FF.net, and have been for a while... :P I mean, they're taking down *good* stories, for pity's sake, and for no good reason! Bah.

BTW, you're not helping my Gildor-fangirlish tendencies with that icon. Darn you... ;) Where'd you get that pic??

Beats me - I can't remember. It was posted somewhere as a Fingolfin pic (though Tolkien expressedly says that ingolfin was dark-haired IIRC), maybe on TORN or some other really big forum. I saw it, decided that it was, in fact, Gildor, and Nemis the Generous made the icon for me.

Ah, well... No matter who it's meant to be, I like the idea that it's Gildor instead. ;)

And now I'm starting to feel fangirlish, so I'll just go repent now... :P

Well, I can offer you plenty of Gildor stories when your inner fangirl needs her fix. *g*

Go there:
http://www.fanfiction.net/profile.php?userid=173902

The stories featuring Gildor (in one way or other) are:
Seaside Conversations, Reflexions of Past and Future, Twisted Paths of Fate, the last chapter from Book Three: Of Riddles of Doom and Paths of Love and several chapters of Innocence.

Have fun, and should you like any of them, please toss my greedy muse a bone. :)

When is ff.net ever NOT annoying? Let's just hope that this time it won't take nearly two months to re-appear, like it did last summer!

Nah, it's back already. They made some cosmetic changes and added a new feature to the update page, that's all. Let's hope the changes won't end up in a complete breakdown again.

The cursed thing is,t hat we still need ff.net. Regardless of the overall quality, it still is the biggest multifandom site that I know of, the one where people start looking for stories.

And, I must admit, I'm addicted to the review function. There's nothing that could inspire a narcistic author like myself to regular updates than praise. *looks ashamed*

More tinkering just for the sake of tinkering? Just what ff.net needs; it's so stable to begin with (not!).

I agree; ff.net, exasperating as it can be at times, fills a very important function in fandom.

And I don't know anyone who's honest who ISN'T at least a little bit of a review addict! And ff.net's review system is the best out there, bar none.

If that's true, I think we should put up with it for a while. Go Thranduil!
