Oh no, not again!
May. 17th, 2003 12:22 amDear God, it can't be true! Ff.net is gone again!
Let's hope it's just a temporary problem, but it's getting annoying, really. One would think that after they separated the original fic section it would work better, but no........
Or maybe one of the Mirkwood Castle members is right and Thranduil is secretly hacking around to take revenge for all those insulting badfics that portray him as a child-abusing, drunk madman.
His Majesty should consider that he's punishing his own fans, as well.

Date: 2003-05-16 04:54 pm (UTC)Beats me - I can't remember. It was posted somewhere as a Fingolfin pic (though Tolkien expressedly says that ingolfin was dark-haired IIRC), maybe on TORN or some other really big forum. I saw it, decided that it was, in fact, Gildor, and Nemis the Generous made the icon for me.

Date: 2003-05-17 03:08 am (UTC)The cursed thing is,t hat we still need ff.net. Regardless of the overall quality, it still is the biggest multifandom site that I know of, the one where people start looking for stories.
And, I must admit, I'm addicted to the review function. There's nothing that could inspire a narcistic author like myself to regular updates than praise. *looks ashamed*

I agree; ff.net, exasperating as it can be at times, fills a very important function in fandom.
And I don't know anyone who's honest who ISN'T at least a little bit of a review addict! And ff.net's review system is the best out there, bar none.

The stories featuring Gildor (in one way or other) are:
Seaside Conversations, Reflexions of Past and Future, Twisted Paths of Fate, the last chapter from Book Three: Of Riddles of Doom and Paths of Love and several chapters of Innocence.
Have fun, and should you like any of them, please toss my greedy muse a bone. :)
