Useless Trekking

I've spent three days trying to hunt down any decent Star Trek Yahoo Groups or any decent Original Trek fic. So far, all listed groups are dedicated either to a specific pairing or to a militant pro-slash or anti-slash mentality or are dead in space with approximately 4.57 members. All Original Trek fic I've come about is Kirk/Spock slash so far, which is the only version I'd never be able to stomach.

I think I'm cursed in the Trekverse. At least Battlestar Galactica (my other pervert pleasure) has some decent fanfic sites. Of course, writing a monstre crossover between the two shows, I'd be in touble anyway...

It *is* interesting - just not the sort of thing I was looking for. (Thanks for the links, BTW). I skimmed through the last ten pages or so, but people are mostly interested in the newest shows or write short character piecs. I'll return there time and again, but it doesn't give me the feeling that I could make myself comfortable there. I don't really know why. Except probably that I'm a werid person, of course.

It had a lot of VOY fic when I was posting there, and ENT was just about to get popular too. DS9 was a really small proportion of the stuff that was posted there.

I think that newsgroups in general are a lot busier than mailing lists, and can be a bit bewildering.

What you could do is post a message asking if anyone could direct you to some sites or mailing lists that are TOS specific. I'm sure there must be loads of stuff out there, it's just finding the right places.
