As for the readability issue, I simply decided not to read those journals. My eyesight is weak enough as it is, and I intend to use those poor eyes for a while yet.
Oh, and BTW, thanks for the medical advice re: my character with the lost leg. I'll answer your mail - hopefully - soon. :)
