If the most exciting thing you can write about is a domestic report, then you surely do have a dull life. On the other hand, having an interesting life is something of a Chinese curse, isn't it?
In any case, I finally finished posting Birthright 2 - The Gathering to
otherworlds_lib. It was interesting to re-read the whole thing (I had to, because of the hand coding) again and finding that I still liked it.
Other than that, I didn't have much time to do anything during this week. Mum was on leave and made programs. Like going to the chiropodist, having all frigging carpets cleaned and going to the dentist. Well, all that had to be done, of course, and the ungodly heat was even good for the carpet cleaning part - the things dried out in half a day, which is a record - but I'm sufficiently dead now. At least the dentist didn't find any problem with my teeth, although my bridge might have to be replaced somewhen in the coming years.
The craftsmen finally finished replacing the isolation of the roof, so we perhaps can have our satellite dish placed back to where it used to be. The guys must have moved it all over the roof (8 stories above our head), because the antennae hung down in a different angle every day. It's a wonder we still can watch TV.
I hope I'll be able to write another chapter to Isabeau's anniversary fic during the weekend. I've done some research about oriental rugs and stuff. The
13_warrior community has some very good links to medieval oriental stuff. But creativity isn't something that comes easily by these temperatures. *le sigh*

Date: 2006-08-01 11:36 am (UTC)IF I can find a crate to send said enemies, I shall. As none of them are skinny, I shall need a steel shipping container! Then, you can sit on them, and like the Trolls in the Hobbit wanted to do with the Dwarves, squish them into jelly...which, I admit would be a useful thing to be able to do.
