... to get Mum's medicine against osteoporosis was more successful than the previous one. Granted, the second pharmacy - belonging to a different chain - didn't have the pills, either, but at least they could order for me the three-in-a-box package (as opposing the three single boxes), and it is supposed to arrive on Monday afternoon. We agreed with the friendly young man that I'll fetch it on Tuesday morning, as temperatures are climbing into the upper 30s again, and - unlike the pharmacy - the streets (and most trams) are not air-conditioned.

On my way home I dropped in to Lidl to buy some more Alpenfest stuff as long as they have them. I got us a can of beer we never had before as well as two smaller pieces of crumble cake, with apple and sour cherry filling, respectively. We cut the apple one to our afternoon coffee; it is yummy, if a tad too sweet for my taste. They don't have to be refrigerated but I put them into the fridge anyway; they taste much better properly cooled.

We also had laundry day, and I'm getting nervous about our faithful Louise (=the washing machine). She's had the hiccups for some time by now, meaning that she either refused to start right away or stopped after a few minutes, in which cases I simply switched her off, turned the... thing on top a notch forward and everything was okay again. I don't know how long this is gonna work, though. I'm really not looking forward to getting a new machine, to the trouble of having it installed and to the challenge of learning how it works.

My tour in the morning took longer than expected, so we skipped lunch in favour of a really later breakfast and after the washing was done, we both slept for an hour or so. Then we had coffee while watching Salvage Hunters. I managed to squeeze in a tiny bit of writing, but no progress was made with the embroidered cards. I had everything laid out on my desk well in advance but couldn't bring up the extra energy to actually work on them. *sigh*
