I wanted to give you picspam
Aug. 13th, 2024 08:52 pm... but somehow I messed up things with my brand new smartphone and the pic ended up totally blurred. Will give it another try tomorrow.
However, the other pic, taken of the lemon jam that ended up as candied lemon peel turned out very well. Have a look and a laugh:
But candied lemon peels are okay. I'll use them to decorate my Christmas cookies. Or I'll give Madeira cake a try, once temperatures deign to drop a bit. Or rather a lot. Today we had 36°C and the weather won't change until bloody Monday! So, even if our new cleaning lady lowers herself deeply enough to call, I'll cancel the cleaning frenzy that would be due on Saturday. No way I'll do all the packing in this weather - only for her to potentially cancel everything in the last minute again!
I decided to do the cleaning myself for the foreseeable future, unless a miracle happens. I'll go in small sections, so that I won't end up with heat stroke. We'll see how it works.
Crafting-wise I've finished Cards#19 and 20 and started #21. That one is a relatively simple nativity scene; so far I only had to unpick and redo parts twice or three times. Tomorrow I'll try to make a better pic, using the new iPad this time.
