Social life, yay!
Jun. 15th, 2022 08:24 pmNow that the AO3 mystery has been solved (see previous entry), and I only have to worry about various prospective leakages (loo and balcony), I've managed to come down from my high-strung phase a bit and am trying to enjoy life as it is.
Today was a good day. My friend Elise invited some of the old girls (those who still work at our school and a few of us retirees) for a little get-together. Their apartment building has a large back garden, where we could sit under the trees, on garden benches around the table, snacking and gossiping. It was balm for the soul, really.
On Monday, we'll have another little get-together - in our flat, with considerably less people, about 4 or 5, but we'll have it, yesssss, Precioussss. I'm sooo looking forward to it; as long as it is still possible. Especially as Little Abel is about to make an appearance, too. Mum's very much looking forward to play with her honorary great-grandson. *g* I hope she'll get the chance; one can never know with toddlers, of course, but we're trying to think positively.
Other than that, I worked a bit on my Big Fish(TM), cutting out several new bases and parts. No actual sewing was done today - way too little time for that - but I'm making progress, and that's what counts.
