Champagne cork bunnies
Feb. 19th, 2020 11:34 pmMy versions are sitting on little cork plates originally meant to be put under wine or water glasses. I painted them with acrylic paint and the champagne corks with watercolour (because I didn't have white acrylic paint), added the bow ties and the eyes and decorated the whole thing with a felt flower, each. The bunny eggs are simply thick paper, and the little nests I pilfered from a box of Ferrero Rocher chocolates and filled with candy. *g*

Watercolour isn't the right stuff for cork, so if I ever make anything like this again I'll have to buy a pot of white acrylic paint, I'm afraid.
On a different creative front, I improvised a baked wreath with blueberry jam and walnut filling today. Everything that saves me the necessity of putting on outside clothes and go to the grocer's. Even if it takes the whole morning. The wreath wasn't pretty, but it was yummy, so I think I did well enough.
