wiseheart: (Valinor by Ted Nasmith)
Well, not very much. Just a little bit and seriously clouded skies all day. Mum and I had to go to a funeral today (the father of a colleague died a few weeks ago), but it was an urn funeral, so we remained indoors the whole time. We then visited the grave of my grandparents; they lie in the same urn cemetery, but not in the crypt. Mum and I wanted them to be outside, in the wall surrounding the church. It's much nicer there.

After the funeral we went to Stühmer's Café, because it had been fairly chilly in the crypt, and we decided we deserved some hot chocolate: she with cardamom, I with ginger. It was fantastic, as always. It was almost 5 p.m. when we finally got home, and she's deadly tired now, the poor dear.

But at least I got some serious writing done in the morning, so I call the day a success.

So, dear folks, I promised you Easter cards of the stitched variation to make up for not being able to send any Chirstmas cards to anyone.

A small taste of what I usually make

I've about a dozen or so cards to give away. [livejournal.com profile] badly_knitted, [livejournal.com profile] adafrog, [livejournal.com profile] just_jenni, [livejournal.com profile] lindahoyland and [livejournal.com profile] mirasaui have already staked their claim, and the ones who have sent me Christmas cards have precedence. I probably won't have the time to make new cards, but I'm willing to give away the ones I have in stock, so if you want one, please leave a comment and/or PM me your address.
