Well, well, things went better than I thought - today, I finished "The Immunity Syndrome"!
Granted, it is not one of my monster stories, only 10 parts, including a prologue and an epilogue (both very short), and I pretty much followed an unfilmed plot idea, only using different characters, but I'm still very content with it.
Mum and I celebrated my accomplishment by a sharing - literally! - a small glass of cherry wine, made by the family of a colleague. Neither of us is much of a drinker and neither of us particularly likes wine, but we both felt that it was more festive than having a shot of eggnog. We used her dark red lead crystal stemware drinking glasses; the ones meant for liquor. You can imagine the amounts that were actually drunk. *g*
In any case, I'm very happy that I've managed to put my sick leave to some use and finished the story. Go me!
