Another baking experiment
Feb. 12th, 2018 08:37 pmI've tried my hand on Hefeteig-Quarktaschen yesterday. I'm sorry, but I have no idea what Quark is called in English. It is a diary product, some call it fresh cheese, but it isn't, not really. Cheese is fermented, Quark is not.
Anyway, it's a sweet filling, with sugar, raisins, lemon zest, an egg and some vanilla extract, similar to the cheesecake filling, just more solid. The things look like this:

I won't declare it a 100 per cent success, but my colleagues, who served as testers, said that they'd volunteer as guinea pigs any time I try out a new recipe-
I started working again, and the joy of my group to see me again was really touching. I love these kids. We've started crafting for Easter - well, the theoretical part of it. We're going to make felt eggs (only those who want, of course), decorated with felt applications, buttons, beads and whatnot. I'm really looking forward to it.
