Deader than dead
Feb. 1st, 2012 06:34 pmWork has been really awful lately, and promises to stay that way for at least another week or two. I hope it eases off a bit afterwards, but we can never know.
Started the new chapter of "Elvenhome" - not entirely sure where I want to go with it, save that it will be mostly about Elenwë and perhaps a little about Glorfindel's connection to Turgon's family. I've revised some of my theory as presented in "A Tale of Never-Ending Love", as in hindsight it doesn't seem convincing to me that Glorfi would fall for Idril, so part of that story will have to be rewritten. I might eventually re-vamp the whole thing, save for the parts that take place in Rivendell, no that I'm more comfortable with writing Silm characters. We'll see.
The first chapter of "The Dark Prince" is coming along with much effort. Four pages I'm fairly content with, the fifth one is beyond questionable. Again, we'll see. Fortunately, I don't intend to start posting that one any time soon. I wish I had a Silm beta, though. Aside from the grammar, discussing various aspects of the story would be helpful and inspiring. But, well, it's how it is, right?
Gave a try the 6th chapter of "Smiths & Joneses", my 2nd Season Torchwood AU. Not much, but perhaps the story will finally move on.
Other than that, I'm trying to read "A Game of Thrones", but I can't say that I'd enjoy it very much. Well, at least it's something new and it's in English. That should be considered a good thing, right?
Of course, between gruelling hours at work and some dogged creativity, that elusive thing called sleep has become even less frequent. *sighs* Who was the idiot who said that when we get older we'll need less sleep? If that's true, then I'm getting younger by the day...
