Well, well, it's 0:14, which means I've passed the border between 48 and 49. I think it's the most un-remarkable birthday I've ever had. No guests, no party, no cake, no nothing - and not even missing it. I guess after a certain age birthdays just lose their importance... until one gets old enough to consider one's own age an achievement. Like my Granny did after turning 80. Or 90. Or 95.

On the bright side, I got sweets from Jillian - the first time ever that I got mail from Australia! - two nice pullovers from my Mom (plus she treated me with a visit by the hairdresser's, so that I've become a redhead once again) and I actually found a pair of shoes that aren't the usual comfort monstrosities but look like really nice, lady-like shoes. I haven't had anything like that for at least ten years.

To my surprise, my PC treated me with the revival of its fan (at least temporarily), although it still keeps freezing at the most inappropriate moments, so I still need some smartass to fx it. Plus, I've more or less finished rewriting A Heart For Falsehood Framed (aka Book 5 of my canon Boromir-series), which now seems even worse than before, and I started some tentative work on Seal On My Heart (the Boromir AU) again. It's just patchwork and ironing out some mistakes, so I can do it despite a dead muse. But at least I get reacquintanted with the Tolkien universe again.

Happy Birthday! I'm glad to hear your PC and your muse have given you such nice presents. (Not to mention the nice Aussie goodies!)

Thanks. I'm not so sure about the muse, though. I think I'm forcing her, which can be seen on the results, but it's still better than nothing.
