where does Jackson address the religous aspects of LOTR?

The scene in Minas Tirith, where Gandalf quotes Tolkien's words about Frodo's arrival in the Undying Lands to assure Pippin there's a life after death. It's too much out of context for me, even if it could be maintained that Frodo's passage to the Undying Lands is a metaphor for death. Other than that, I agree there isn't much.

Oh, that... I must admit, I disliked Gandalf in ROTK so much (particulary his parts with Denethor) that I didn't pay him too much attention. Somehow, that scene was lost on me among the battles and more battles and monsters and even bigger and uglier monsters.
