Boxing Day

... started very well, actually. I finished the snowman page for the Christmas quiet book, and now I can start to put the book together.
Here is the funny snowman with his wardrobe:

I might stitch on the snowflakes yet, with a single stitch each; I don't trust these self-adhesive foam stickers to hold, and it would be bad if any kid happened to swallow one. But it is basically done.
I was also free of pain for half the day - until I made an unlucky move and now my back is acting up again. I'm so fed up with this!
We ate leftovers (still the trimmings made for the rubber hen), so I didn't have to cook, thank God. I tried to rest a bit in the afternoon, playing Solitaire and reading, in the hope my back would get better, but it didn't, not really. Then I made another unlucky move while preparing supper... *sigh*
H. and her children gave us a call to include us a bit in their Christmas get-together. As everyone is sick to one degree or another, they don't dare to visit, which is very responsible of them. Mum was happy to at least be able to talk to them, though.
Since we still have lots of food, I won't have to go to the shops tomorrow, which is a relief. After a three-day holiday they are usually like a battlefield. I can stay at home, serve leftovers for lunch and feel sorry for myself. ;))
