Advent 2023 - Day 17

I was mostly cooking today - it was time for a proper cooked meal, after so many improvised lunches lately. I made potato cream soup and Topfenknödel with spicy apple sauce. Mum very much approved. We'll have leftover soup for tomorrow, so I can save half the cooking effort, which is always a win!

I did some minor crafting in the morning: worked on the front page of the Christmas quiet book. It won't be finished by Christmas, but I enjoy working on it, and at least I'll already have a gift for next Christmas, when I finish it, oh, around Easter or so. *g*

And finally some pics about the lovely crocheted items H. wasn't able to sell on their less than satisfying fair. Seeing them I find it's a real shame.

Oh, I'm glad it's arrived! Next year I hope I'll be making them myself, but this year was simply too busy.

Yes, the owls are very cute indeed. And people are idiots. But the truth is, if the organizers don't emphasize that the fair should be Christmas-themed, second-hand games and plush toys tend to take over.

They are adorable, and so much intricate work went into them. It's such a pity we live in different countries, because I would definitely buy half a dozen as stocking fillers for next year.

I've just talked to H. She says you can have them for free, she just wants the postage paid. Just tell me how many of the things you want and which ones. I'll pay for postage and you can give me some paid LJ time in exchange later, or tokens or whatever is possible at the moment.
