I can barely believe it: Face of the Enemy has actually won in the category Best story focusing on Men! That's a first! Thanks to everyone who nominated one of my stories and voted for them!

Oh, and Finch won, too! Congrats, Finch!
And also congrats to wild_iris who did well in multiple categories.

I think I'll get drunk now or something like that.

Edit: Drat, I can't make the user tags work.

Thanks. I don't think it's a physically existing one, but I'm very happy anyway.

The party is in Gildor's house, I heard it'll be a great one, as several of his household did well. ;)

A virtual award then. Still, it's a nice thing to have whether you can pick it up and polish it or not!

So, point me to Gildor's house. I've got beer..

Gildor's house is easy to find. It's more or less in the middle of Edhellond. Just follow the descriptions in Seaside Conversations 2. *g*

Ok, on my way! I warn you, I'm bringing beer strong enough to cause the hair to fall off a hobbit's feet!

No prob. I've been losing my hair for at lest twenty years anyway.

And strong beer is good. Once in Brugge (Belgium) I had some beer you can't have anywhere else because they don't put anything into it to keep it from going bad. So, it's always freshly made. It tasted fantastic, and I didn't realize how strong it was - until I tried to get up. I couldn't. It took me half an hour and a big mug of coffee to stand straight again. *g*

Thank you. I'm really happy.

OTOH, you were right about our other shared fandom. It truly seems to be a little apathetic. Nobody took notice of the Secret Project yet.

Do you think we should do a little sockpuppeting?
*evil cackle*

Give it time, give it time...

I'm planning to put the next part up on Saturday (unless you think that's too soon), so maybe that'll wake them up a little. Heh, heh, heh.

Thank you! It came at a strategically placed moment. I was very close to turn my back on writing Tolkienfic ever again. But after this, the muse simply emerged from being clinically dead and is now poking me again. :)

Yep, she insists that I finally do something about The Shoemaker's Daughter, the lengthy prequel to Shadows of the Past. (Remember that story? It had a great beta...) I've researched the story idea to death a year or so ago and have almost given up on it, but now I feel like writing about the common people of Gondor again.

I know! Have hardly been online at all lately. I'm beginning to think I'm going to have to just start getting up extra early every morning and do fandom stuff before I go to work.

:P

Hmmm. Hard question. Both, I think. *evil grin*

Seriously, I saw both names on several places, and never knew that it's the same person.
