Today our internet provider run into some technical problem, so we didn't have either television or internet connection for a good four hours. Mum was devastated, as she missed Derrick (an old German cop series), and it was an episode she never saw before. I felt like missing a limb without being able to going online on my iPad mini.

Originally, they promised to fix the problem until 9pm; I was getting slightly insane by the perspective. Fortunately, they were done by 4pm, but it was still a bad experience. Especially in these days when we don't really get to see anyone for real. Except the physiotherapist, of course.

When our internet goes down I miss it — just knowing I can't have it makes me want it more! LOL

It really does feel like a missing limb if the internet isn't there. On the odd occasion it has happened to us over the years both of us have an urge to just check, in case it's back, at 2 minute intervals!

Same here, unfortunately. Sometimes I think I really should exchange phone numbers with my online friends, just in case.

There's been a couple of power cuts since I moved to Norway, first you realise there is no internet, and then... no electricity! It was a bit scary last time cos it was cold and dark, and the heating is all electric. Gah!

But yeah... it's discombobulating!

I totally feel you.
My internet keeps conking out in the evenings — but only on the TV! — and I'm left with nothing to watch. It's very annoying.

I'm afraid we've become terribly spoiled...

Having no internet turns me into Gollum: We wants it, we needs it...

Is the episode available in the Mediathek perhaps?

Unlikely. This is Hungarian television we are talking about. It's not the end of the world, though. Sooner or later there will be re-runs, I am sure of that.

Okay, that's just wrong. Glad it was fixed sooner, but still.

Annoying, yeah, but not the first time since Vodafone took over from UPC.

Maybe you could have got the physio to act out the story for you? :D In all seriousness, however, it definitely sucks when the internet goes down. That's why I've been downloading some of my favourite Chinese series. Over the past weekend my service has been so poor that re-watching Listening Snow Tower has been a life saver.

And that's why I have a cabinet full of DVDs and three walls full of video tapes. :)

I remember the days before the internet, funny how now, we can't live without it.

Well, we spent a considerable amount of money on hand-written letters, if memory serves me well. *g*
