Or rather by her tiramisu cake.

This is the original.

And this is mine:

Admittedly, not as professional, but I hope it will taste great.

Other than that, I made two food runs and more raspberry jam, so I was done in for the rest of the day. A good thing that the physiotherapist came today and helped Mum with her exercises.

That looks really yummy — I would have a lot of trouble stopping at one slice of it for sure!

Fortunately, it is surprisingly light. But I didn't make the filling with mascarpone. I used cremequark instead... admittedly mixed with whipped cream. *g*

It looks delicious! By coincidence, I looked up that very recipe of Mary Berry's a short time ago. I was interested in seeing what it would take to make tiramisu, and started by consulting her recipe! I didn't make it but I think I will give it a try for Mother's day next weekend.

I must admit that I made the lazy and dumbed-down version of it, simply baking a sponge cake and cutting it horizontally twice. ;)

Looks delicious! I will give the recipe a try next week. Like you I will use the springform baking tin (looks more like a torte), and will insert one or two layers of ladybiscuits. No Tiramisu for me without ladybiscuits. No. Never...

That's okay. I'm a lazy git and it has been my experience that Grandma's sponge cake always works. Besides, I didn't have ladybiscuits at home... assuming they are what I think they are. *g*

It´s me who is the lazy one! Of course I won´t do Biskotten myself but let Manner produce them!

You know how the ad goes: "Manner mag man eben". *g*
I've never done Biskotten myself, either. What for? Professionally produced things are good enough.
