wiseheartAnd we are both relieved about it, even if we know it won't be easy. She wants to thank you all for the prayers and good wishes and asks for more - before everything else so that the bone would hold. That's the most important part right now, everything else is just practice, patience and goodwill.
I've given her the first injection while my friend Evie was watching from the distance. It went well. I'm marginally less hysterical abut the entire affair. It turns out, Evie's watched the instructional video as well, just in case I needed pointers, and Erica, another colleague of us, who also used to have to inject her mother, demonstrated it on herself (without the needle, of course), how it is done properly. I can imagine the scene in the teachers' room between lessons... *g*
The commode has also arrived shortly after Mum, and my cousin brought some adult diapers, so I hope we have things under control. The only unsolved issue is the mattress, but my cousin and his ex-wife are working on it. Hopefully, there will be a solution, soon.
In other news, I'm about to get my Covid vaccine tomorrow - the Russian one. As someone from the Richter Gedeon Institute (our leading pharmatical firm) said when the whole hysteria against Sputnik broke out: "We all grew up with Russian vaccines" - and they didn't harm us, on the contrary. All childhood vaccines came from Russia (well, the Soviet Union, in my youth), and we're still here, aren't we?
