Snagged from several people on my friendslist.

Which Fantasy/SciFi Character Are You?

Just to explain the topic line: I hate Star Wars. I can't stand Luke Skywalker. I seriously doubt that we'd have anything in common. Actually, this is the first such meme when I got a totally unbelievable result.

I did one of these and got Harry Potter. I'm not a fan of Harry Potter AT ALL.

Same here. The books bored me to death, and I hated how fat people had to play the role of the villain, starting with the Dursleys. I haven't even read the 7th book and from the 4th on I just leafed through them.

if the Dursleys hated Harry so much why were they so upset when he left? you'd think they'd be all "glad to see the back of him". there were some other reasons I wasn't keen on HP but I don't feel like going into all the details now.

Perhaps we can discuss it later. It's so rare to find someone who shares my dislike of that particular franchise.

lol Oh man.

I am a Trekkie, but Star Wars was a big part of my childhood. The original, of course, not the new shit.

I am a die-hard Trekkie myself. :) Even though my first and never-ending love was the original Battlestar Galactica series; the one from 1978, mind you.

My problem with the original Star Wars movie was that I don't like the mixing up of genres. A fairy tale is a fairy tale and sci-fi is sci-fi. The mix of the two is... well, not my cup of tea. And I didn't really like any of the main characters, and the robots got on my nerves, so... Of course, the original movie was still magnitudes better than any of the prequels and sequels and whatnot. The fact that Luke and Leia turned out to be siblings was bad enough, not to mention the fact that Darth Vader was their father. But when the Ewoks showed up I swore off the whole thing entirely. That was just way too stupid for me.

Luuuuke! There's been a time when I thought it would be nice to have a son like him. Then again, there'd be his father to deal with...

I got Princess Leia. I am not a Star Wars fan at all but I like her character.

I'm gonna butt in here and (while I am a Harry Potter fan, though not so much anymore since it came out how horribly transphobic JKR is :( ) heartily agree with you on fat people being the villains in the books. That is a huge flaw in the series, IMO.

I got Galadriel. I love LOTR, but don't believe I am at all similar to her. Strange meme.

Agreed. As if we who don't look like starving rats wouldn't get enough grief from our idiotic, tactless fellow humans anyway.

I don't know how they come up with such characters based on those questions.

I liked him before the big bombshells about him being Leia's brother and Darth Vader's father dropped. Those things strained credibility for me beyond endurance.

To be honest she made the hairs on my arm stand up from sheer irritation. Especially in the later films.

It is, isn't it? At least Galadriel is a character I could have lived with. Even though I'm not at all similar to her, either.

I liked the second one, as well, until it turned into more West Wing in space than actual space show.

Ah.
