Dec. 26th, 2020 07:12 pm... and failing. It was much easier during Advent. Especially as, to quote John Watson, "nothing happens to me". Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, just a bit blank sometimes.
Being housewifey-i helps at least fill the empty hours of the day, at least. I'd rather write, but my brain refuses to cooperate. Or is it my soul? In either case, writing doesn't happen in these days. I did some cooking, combining leftovers to a presentable lunch, and I baked poppy seed knots, since I hadn't bought enough bread to last till Tuesday, and I don't intend to go out on the first regular day after Christmas and weekend, when everyone will run to besiege the grocer shops.
In case you are wondering, these are the poppy seed knots:

They are basically rolls, made of yeast dough, and formed like knots. Hence the name.
I also worked a bit on my story book. I've finished all ten page bases and started making the colourful little tents. Two down, at least ten more to go. Perhaps even more. I ought to pick up working on Little Emma's quiet book, too, but I just can't bring up the energy. Paper crafts are so much faster and easier than sewing.
So, that was my fairly unexciting day. I had two phone conversations, a short one with my friend Evie and a long one with H., Little Emma's grandmother, and that was basically it. Thank God there are re-runs of old GGBO episodes. I'm really not in the mood to watch Harry Potter, Percy Jackson or Bud Spencer and Terence Hill over and over again. That's what the telly calls "entertainment" in these days, while all really interesting things are put on the hold because of the holidays.
