... so I heroically walked to the Auchan supermarket today.

It's only two tram stops from our building, but the way leads through a wide open area that enables me to wrestle my agoraphobia into obedience from time to time. The weather was warm and sunny, so I actually enjoyed the excursion - a lot more than sharing the tram wagon with a bunch of idiots that don't seem to understand that a mask is supposed to cover their noses as well.

Of course I had to take the tram on my way back; I had three heavy bags with me and would have collapsed halfway if I tried to walk home as well. Fortunately, it was at a time when most people either work, or cook their lunch or actually eat their lunch, so the tram was sparsely populated.

Auchan is in a small shopping centre where are some shops that sell stationery and craft supplies, too. I found a lovely package of handmade paper: 10 small sheets of black and white paper, some of them embossed, the others decorated with glitter patterns. There is even a small bag of embellishments! And the whole thing was ridiculously cheap, about 70-80 cents altogether. Not that I'd need even more craft paper, but I so love to find new patterns!

I talked to my friend Evie in the afternoon, though, and it seems that we might go to the craft supply depot on Friday, with her car. Of course all sorts of things can happen until Friday, so I'm trying to to look forward too much to it, but still, it would be nice. We are planning to go at the same "dead" time of the day to avoid crowds and rush hour - not that I'd ever seen more than three people at the same time in that depot, but better safe than sorry, right?

Evie has never been there before and I want to find some more motif punchers, so let's hope we can actually make the trip.

It sure would!

We will be going back into lockdown on Monday in Germany, but fortunately, I'd been expecting this and we have been preparing. All the more fortunate so since Saturday is a holiday in northern and eastern Germany, so this evening we learned that Friday is our last day. I don't wanna brave the supermarkets during the first week of lockdown when everyone is going stir crazy.

I can imagine! There is a reason why I always do my shopping in the late morning: when the early morning crowd is done and gone and the after-work crowd hasn't arrived yet.

I find people who don’t wear masks properly infuriating! Shops will be opening here tomorrow, and I will no longer have an excuse to avoid exercise. It’s probably for the best 😒

Just don't over do it! And beware of the idiots who don't know how to wear a mask!

It would be very nice indeed. Especially as Evie promised to take me to Aldi afterwards, where I can fill the car with water bottles and other heavy stuff, so that I wouldn't have to lug all that by foot next week. *fingers crossed indeed*

I wish I had known about your paper punch shortage a year ago. I had a grand clear-out of my craft supplies and donated several punches to the church craft stash.

It isn't an actual shortage, you know. I do have several. I just never seem to have the ones I would need at any given moment. ;)) I think I'll have to make an actual list.

Seeing someone wearing a mask over their mouths but not their noses, explains when some have such trouble with their conceptive measures...

You mean people are idiots? *g*

The daughter of my friend Eenie and her classmate made drawings on the blackboard of their class, with subtitles.
It went like this:
- Person without a mask = He isn't afraid.
- Person with a properly worn mask = He takes the situation seriously.
- Person wearing a mask over his mouth but not his nose = He still doesn't understand what this is about.
- Person wearing a mask under his chin (and yes, there are such people) = He is an idiot.

Idiots like you wouldn't believe. Worse, they are a danger to themselves and others.

I know. There is a blind lady living in the flat opposite ours. She comes over every day so that we would check her mail for her - snail mail, bills, that sort of thing. So far okay, we don't mind to help. But every time she comes she pulls the mask under her chin because, and you won't believe it, she apparently doesn't hear well if part of her face is covered! I picked up the routine of backing off two metres and putting on my mask before I open the door, but really, how much of an idiot one can be?

Oh, it's just food run twice a week, but it is good for me, I think.
