I understand most computers, and can usually fix what ails them. But, a cell phone is another matter. Not sure why, they are computers also. But, I've only had mine for 3 years and now, it won't hold a charge. If I unplug it from the charger, it lasts all of 30 seconds before it shuts down. So annoying. They sell new (old) batteries for pennies, but they are bootleg, and you have to take the phone apart to put them in, which involves heat guns and playing cards and tricky pull a-parts ,etc. plus a lot of praying this and that doesn't break. And on top of that, a lot of the reviews say the new (or rather old replacement) doesn't last. So, I guess it is time for a new phone. My old one is a Huawei, which I really like, but due to the China/US trade squabbles, I can't buy a new Huawei in the states, nor will it work with Google apps, if I could. I've looked at all the moderate priced phones available for purchase and am not impressed with any of them. On top of that, only certain ones, the worst of the batch, will work with my cell phone plan. I hate spending money on an item that I don't like. But, hard to live without a phone - sigh.
