For the first time in 3.5 months - and only to take her to the dentist. Poor dear had her remaining two upper front teeth pulled. Fortunately, it went well, without any problems. She says the worst part was the injection of the painkiller. I'm glad it is over, she was very anxious about it.

Me, I didn't get my teeth done. Some instrument or other broke down, but the dentist lady X-rayed my problem teeth and I got three (!) appointments for getting the dratted teeth dealt with. And I so hoped that she'd repair at least one broken filling today. Ah, well, it isn't so as if I had anything else to do in the foreseeable future.

With that, half the day was over already. We ate leftovers (surprise, surprise!) and then collapsed in front of our respective tellies. Mum chatted with a couple of friends and I fell asleep... after writing half a scene for "Magic Mirror".

And that's it, basically. Tomorrow is hunting day, so I'll have to go to bed earlier. Therefore I'll watch "Money for Nothing" at 9pm instead of midnight. Such is the life of retired old hags. It is a good life, though. I have no complaints.

My thoughts exactly. Even though she's a good one and an overall nice person.

So am I. It's annoying that mine will take at least three more weeks to be finished, but Mum's was more important.

Amen. It is no fun running around with holes in my teeth bigger than the Crack of Doom.

Oh, she actually took it in her stride. I'm the miserable coward in the family. She's one tough cookie.

Oh dear - not exactly the nicest reason to leave the house after 3.5 months.

She still enjoyed it - afterwards, when all was done and we were returning home. ;)

Sorry about mom's teeth. And I agree, the deadening shot hurts.

Yep, it was still a bit tender last night, but now she isn't in any pain whatsoever and very happy to have it behind her.

Ugh, I've had 3 teeth crumble during the "stay at home" period. I won't smile until the visible ones are fixed, but that will be a while yet. Good that you Mum got out, too bad it had to be for teeth :0(

She's incredible! She'd be coming with me to my appointment to give moral support if I let her!
