Kansas 12 posted
May. 16th, 2004 04:13 pmWell, hard to believe, I know, but I've actually managed to finish chapter 12 of "Kansas". Here:

There is a great deal of dialogue that is actually quoted from the episode, but I stated that in the A/N's, so hopefully the idiots will leave me alone this time.
Other than that, there is some Ayala-Garibaldi friendship, Chakotay almost gets cold feet on his date, and Rastenn leaves Babylon 5.

I had no idea you are reading "Kansas", though. *feels proud*
It's unbelievable, but true: the Marcus/Neroon stories made me interested in Warrior Caste Minbari. I think the fact that I like Klingons, too, explains a little my interest. They are a complex people, too.
Actually, way back, in the Dark Ages, when Roddenberry considered to make a second Trek series with the original characters (Kirk&Co), there was a script titled "Kitumba", written by John Meredyth Lucas, in which we'd have learned that "Klingon" is merely the name of the warrior caste (no kidding!). The other two castes were called the "Technos" (scientists, ingenieurs, that sort of folks) and the "Subjects" (who basically did all the dirty work). Interesting,eh?
As for my Minbari warriors, Rastenn will return to B5 later. I plan something between him and B'Elanna Torres, if the plotcritters agree. (FYI: plotcritters are basically the same thing as plotbunnies, just smaller and more insistent). The folks on the Memory Alpha list want me to keep Voyager a little longer on B5, maybe to the end of the Shadow War or even longer, but I haven't decided yet.
